I'm Yours And I'm Hers (live) ( WINTER JOHNNY , BMI #669040) Rolling Stones concert live in Hyde park 1969, released on the DVD: "The Stones in the Park", originally planned as an introduction for new guitarist Mick Taylor, ex-Stone Brian Jones' tragic death two days before the event changed the focus from celebration to memorial. Taylor looks visibly nervous as the guitars grind out those classics, plus a couple of collector's items in a cover of Johnny Winter's 'I'm Yours And I'm Hers'

Blues Burglars with Paul Lamb (not Paul Lamb and the King Snakes

Bruce Notes: Listened to the cover of Johnny's "Tired of Tryin'" by Paul Lamb, apparently backed by the King Snakes. By the way, the track closely aligned with the title of the release - "Whoopin' (A Tribute To Sonny Terry)" doesn't seem to be the same song Terry did on the album Johnny Winter produced in the early eighties, but a song Paul Lamb is credited as writing. Paul Lamb (I think) plays harmonica and is obviously aware of his musical antecedents. In fact, his version of Tired of Tryin' is interesting because, in it, the harmonica is the lead instrument (unlike Johnny's original version or even Eric Sardinas' cover, with Johnny guesting - where guitar dominates). At the middle eight of Paul Lamb's version, the harmonica takes over the solo spot, initially, and it isn't until he's finished that the guitarist plays a solo (and somewhat in the distance, too, mix-wise). Very interesting to hear a rearrangement of a song Johnny actually wrote.

Paul Lamb may be a fan of Johnny's - in addition to cutting Tired of Tryin' and doing a tribute to Sonny Terry's JW-produced title track, he also covers Elmore James' Shake Your Moneymaker and has a track on "Whoopin'" titled "Got My Mojo Working," either the Muddy Waters' song Johnny Winter's been associated with for years or another, similarly-titled homage.

Ed Bowman drummer of the Blues Burglars confirms that "Tired of Trying" was actually recorded by the Blues Burglars while Paul Lamb was still with them

TV Mama ( WINTER JOHNNY BMI # 1559413) Jerry Douglas / Restless on the Farm
